

Fraser has a technical background in electrical and electronic engineering, with experience in protecting inventions across a wide range of engineering technologies including in relation to electrical and electronic devices, embedded systems, computer hardware and software, medical devices, as well as mechanical inventions in all manner of fields including mining, construction, consumer products. He has extensive experience in relation to patent prosecution, patent oppositions, infringement opinions, and freedom to operate searching.

In addition to his patent practice, Fraser also maintains an active Designs practice, including having been a sessional lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in relation to Australian Designs Office practice for a number of years. Over the years Fraser has also had significant trade mark experience, being Head of Trade Marks at Fisher Adams Kelly before it was merged into Spruson & Ferguson. He can therefore confidently advise on all aspects of registrable intellectual property to provide a cohesive and well rounded IP protection strategy in Australia and abroad.

Over his career Fraser has worked for a very wide range of clients including SMEs and large multi-national corporates. He prides himself in being approachable and willing to help any client achieve their IP and commercial objectives.
